Pat Noack served as the volunteer chair of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) National Aquatics Subcommittee from 2005 through 2020 and has over 40 years involvement at the national BSA level with Aquatics.   The Aquatics Subcommittee has responsibility for all aquatics programming and aquatics safety for the BSA.  Pat has also been a member of the BSA’s National Health & Safety Committee and the National Outdoor Programs Committee and currently serves as chair of the Outdoor Program and Properties Subcommittee.
 
He is a contributing author to the Scout Handbook, BSA Lifeguard Instructor Manual, Aquatics Supervision Manual, BSA Aquatics Supervision: Swimming and Water Rescue Instructors Guide, Aquatics Supervision: Paddle Craft Safety Instructors Guide, BSA National Camp School Aquatics Lesson Plan, BSA Aquatics Staff Guide, Scuba Merit Badge, Kayak Merit Badge, Lifesaving Merit Badge, Swimming Merit Badge, Canoeing Merit Badge, SUP BSA Award and Rafting BSA Award.

Bill O'Melia is a Board Member of Drennen's Dreams Foundation and a General Building Contractor in Colorado.  He has been married to his wife Melissa for 25 years and is the proud father of three boys. On June 6. 2010, Bill and Melissa, lost their oldest son Drennen, who was 12, to a fatal drowning in their lifeguarded community pool. Drennen had just started his seventh summer of competitive swimming the day before and had qualified for All-Stars in all three of his individual events. Since May of 2014, Bill has presented to tens of thousands of lifeguards, aquatics professionals and management nationally. Bill currently sits on the Executive Committee of Families United to Prevent Drowning and is featured in the American Red Cross video segment “Not On Your Watch”, which is used as part of its training for more than 300,000 lifeguards annually.

The Drennen's Dreams Foundation actively supports lifeguarding by raising money for training, equipment and educational materials.
